| The North American Trainer Association (NATA) is an independent,
non-profit corporation dedicated to the restoration and safe flying of North American
Trainers such as the AT-6/SNJ/Harvard, NA-64, NA-50, TB-25, TF-51, AND T-28 aircraft. Membership currently includes
the majority of owners of these aircraft in the USA (over 500 flyable T-6's the US), many
Canadian owner/pilots as well as those from other countries, and photographers and
historians. Membership is open to all enthusiasts.
In 1987 a formation program was started and has expanded to cover
virtually all organizations who have members flying warbirds. They have joined together in
a
group known as FAST (Formation and Safety Team). Exhaustive training has
enabled them to present
a exhilarating picture of aviation's past to the millions of spectators attending today's
many national and international air shows.
NATA publishes NATA Skylines (60-page magazine with color)
quarterly in Jan, Apr, Jul. Oct. The wealth of information about the NAA aircraft,
maintenance and formation training/flying, and related events makes it a valuable network
for owners, pilots and their crews. Nearly all magazine content is submitted by the
membership. |
